Teaching plan

  • I check your specification, school plan and a recent test, then teach a priority gap in the introductory lesson.
  • Each topic moves from a worked example to a question you solve independently and explain in your own words.
  • Homework targets the first incorrect step; an error log helps us revisit methods that need more practice.
  • Once the methods are secure, we combine topics and practise timed questions from the appropriate papers.

Common questions about YMA01

Course selection, lesson planning and examination preparation.

01

What should I bring to the introductory lesson?

Bring your specification code, school topic list, a recent marked test and your next assessment date. I use these to choose a practical starting point.

02

Can lessons follow my school textbook?

Yes. Share the title, edition and current chapter. I can align practice with your school sequence while checking coverage against the qualification specification.

03

How does exam preparation work?

We begin with the methods behind lost marks, then move to mixed and timed practice. You learn to explain steps, check answers and correct recurring mistakes.
